Due to the challenges posed by the emergence of COVID-19 our team has made the decision to postpone the air pollution measurements originally planned for January-February 2021 and the citizen science indoor air quality study planned for August 2020- March 2021 by a year. Our main activities are now planned for Winter 2021/2022. This delay supports public safety by limiting community gatherings, reduces travel from outside Alaska, and recognizes the challenges posed by having dozens of national and international partnering scientists coming to Fairbanks to participate in the study.
